Ok here is the latest from the patriarch of the Rockstar Family - Michael Weiner AKA Michael Savage and his Savage Nation Radio broadcast:
“Now the illness du jour is autism,” Savage said. “You know what autism is? I’ll tell you what autism is. In 99 percent of the cases, it’s a brat who hasn’t been told to cut the act out. That’s what autism is.”
“What do you mean they scream and they’re silent?” Savage added. “They don’t have a father around to tell them, ‘Don’t act like a moron. You’ll get nowhere in life. Stop acting like a putz. Straighten up. Act like a man. Don’t sit there crying and screaming, idiot.’ ”
As sensitive as always the Rockstar Energy Drink Inventor has now decided to get some attention by picking on autistic children. If you can, be sure and post on any of the hundreds of blogs about this latest outburst and mention our website:

People should know that supporting Rockstar Energy Drinks supports Micheal Savage and his hateful message.

We here at The Truth About Rockstar would like to mention the efforts of the folks over at NOsavage.org. They have successfully educated a number of the sponsors for the “Savage Nation” radio show. These companies no longer run commercials during Michael Savage’s hate filled rants. Let us remember that hitting this hate monger where it counts is the only way to shut him up, and by where it counts, I mean his bank account. I wish more people would realize that by supporting Rockstar Energy Drink you are giving your money to this man and his family.
Spread the word and check out these highlights from the inventor of Rockstar Energy Drink - Michael Weiner AKA Michael Savage.

I have recently read quite a bunch of criticism throughout the blogosphere about Travis Barker’s move to sue Rockstar Energy drink for unauthorized use of his likeness. The are two things people should bear in mind before they judge Mr. Barker’s action against Rockstar. Firstly, when someone is famous one of the most import assets they have is their likeness. Rockstar knows this and used the image anyway. Companies pay big dollars for use of celebrity likenesses to be used to endorse or imply endorsement to their products. There is nothing wrong with Travis Barker protecting his interests by taking legal action.
The second issue, and in my opinion the most important, is why Mr. Barker would not want his likeness used on the Rockstar Energy Drink page. Did anyone ever think that endorsing a product implies endorsement of the practices of the company that makes the product. In this case having a photo on the Rockstar page implies Travis Barker endorses not only Rockstar the drink, but Rockstar the company. A company who is owned and managed by the Weiner Family. Do you think Travis Barker wants to be associated with Micheal Savage aka Micheal Weiner and his Savage Nation radio show that broadcasts hate and intolerance everyday across this country.
I for one am glad that Travis Barker has taken the time to address the misuse of his likeness and I hope that other stars present throughout the Rockstar Energy drink website take notice and ask to have their pictures removed as well.
Good Luck Travis!!!!!!

So I visited our friends over at the Rockstar Energy Drink page only to find that they have removed all the bios and history of the company from the content of the website. Maybe they figured its not such a good idea to blatantly show their connection to the Savage nation radio show when they are about to launch their Rockstar Energy Drink brand in Mexico. As it turns out Rockstar is about to be launched in Japan, Mexico, The UK and Australia — all in the immediate future. I guess they figured out that it is a bad idea to advertise that the beverage they sell was created by Micheal Savage. A man who disrespects pretty much every every minority group on a daily basis.
In my opinion, the removal of the self admitted connection between Rcokstar Energy drink and the Weiner family from the Rockstar69.com web page means two things:
1) They are aware of people like me trying to educate the consumer about where the money is going when they purchase a Rockstar beverage, and they see it is as a threat.
2) We must spread the word louder than ever. Send your friends the link to this page and let them find out for themselves why they shouldn’t spend their cash on a Rockstar.
See you in the blogosphere,
Jack

I recently spoke with Dr. Laniac about his efforts to make the public aware of the connection between Michael Savage and Rockstar Energy Drink. Here is a little bit of our correspondence about his experience spreading the word.
“Well, I had some luck initially, but markets change hands and the two that
stopped selling it started again under new owners. Lots of clerks have
gone “Oh my gawd” when they found out, but owners tend to care a bit less.
I refer anybody I see drinking one a Rockstar to the article or give them
a sidewalk synopsis. I get a lot of “whoa, dude. I had no idea.”
I’m sure its not just me, but word is getting around. Still, that article showing up in the Google attracts a lot of wingnuts who wanna tell me how great rockstar and Michael the Savage Wiener are and how they’re gonna drink so much Rockstar it gives them
cancer (or something like that). They always call me some crude euphemism
or call me a traitor, then provide a fake email address. Brave men, they
all are. I guess they’re not so much brownshirts as yellowpants. ”
I expect to get a response from Savage fans as well. I am more than willing to endure their comments to reach some more enlightened people who will take action and support our efforts.

Here is a letter written by Brian Rohter, a man not afraid to take a moral stand against intolerance. This letter was written in 2005. Why have we not seen more store owners take action and refuse to carry Rockstar? Please ask you local stores to follow his example. Please read his letter below:
Several weeks ago I made the decision to stop selling Rockstar Energy Drink in our stores after learning that Rockstar’s CEO, Russell Weiner, had founded the company with his parents Michael and Janet Weiner. (Check out the information on Rockstar’s own website: http://www.rockstar69.com/new_html/company.html). Michael Weiner is better known as “Michael Savage”, the host of an extreme radio program “Savage Nation”.
The decision to take Rockstar off our shelves was not based on politics. We welcome customers from the entire political spectrum in our stores and are committed to being respectful of the various perspectives of all the staff at New Seasons Market. I chose to discontinue Rockstar because I do not want any part of the hate and prejudice that Michael Savage promotes.
Michael Savage regularly makes comments that target and degrade immigrants, women, homosexuals, people of the world’s poor nations, Muslims, scholars, artists, our country’s political leaders and the media. Here are a few excerpts:
1) He told a gay caller to “get AIDS and die”. (He was fired from his job at MSNBC for this comment.)
2) “When I hear someone’s in the civil rights business, I oil up my AR-15!”.
3) He referred to Arabs as “non-humans” and “racist, fascist bigots”.
4) He said “I commend prisoner abuse; we need more”.
5) His suggested strategies for our countries actions in Iraq include, “I think a thousand of them held in the Iraqi prison should be given 24 hour — a trial and executed, ” and “They should put dynamite in their behinds and drop them from 35,000 feet, the whole pack of scum out of that jail.”
6) He railed against the relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina and called the Red Cross “anti-American.”
7) He characterized poet, educator and civil rights activist Maya Angelou as a “liar,” “moron,” “fraud,” and “dirtbag.”
New Seasons Market is proud to be an active member of our community. Michael Savage’s hateful speech takes dead aim at the diversity, civic accord and true American values that make

We have been in contact with several celebrities found on the Rockstar Energy Drink website. Since having a photo on the page implies endorsement of the brand, we wanted to know if these celebrities realized what the family behind Rockstar was really about.
Upon discovering the hateful message being spread by Michael Savage, The Smothers Brothers immediately asked for their photos to be removed from the Rockstar website. Rockstar has issued a response saying they will comply with their request.
The Smothers Brothers are a music-and-comedey team, formed by real-life brothers Tom (or Tommy) and Dick Smothers. They have been TV icons for decades.
Thank you to the Smothers Brothers for taking a stand. We hope to hear back from other celebrities soon.
